Got a call from someone saying they were with Nationwide Building Society. They knew my name and postcode, then asked if I owned the house. When I asked what the questions were for, they just said it was some kind of verification and then cut me off suddenly. Definitely seemed like it came from a call centre.

Like someone mentioned before, she never really said where exactly she was calling from. She just asked for my name, postcode, and if I owned the house. Then, out of nowhere, she just ended the call.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who already had my full name, postcode and house number. She asked if I was at home, and when I said that was a strange way to start, she said she was from the Nationwide Building Society. I told her she shouldn't have left that bit out at the beginning of the call, then she just cut me off! Normally my phone warns me about spam calls but this one slipped through for some reason.
