I got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, telling me there was a problem with my tax return because of my passport. Thing is, I don’t even own a passport, and HMRC wouldn’t have called me on that number anyway. They asked me to press a button to get put through to an agent, which seemed dodgy. Plus, HMRC never rings from a mobile like that, so I just hung up.
