My phone didn’t show any spam warning so I answered a call from a bloke named Andy claiming to be from Vodafone, sounded Indian. I’m not even with Vodafone though. Ended the call pretty quick before he said much else.

Received a call from a firm focused on energy savings. It was a bit of a surprise to get a cold call like that!

Somebody rang me about putting solar panels on my place, said it was to check if I was interested. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I saw it marked as a scam and didn’t bother picking up. Ended up blocking it straight away. Even after that, I noticed about 7 calls from the same number showing up as blocked in my call history!

Picked up the phone and before I could say anything, the person launched into a long spiel about sending me paperwork about making or changing a will. Tried a few times to cut in and say no thanks, but he just wouldn’t stop yapping - proper annoying! When there was a pause, I told him off for not listening and he just hung up on me. Haha, blocked straight away!

I usually don’t pick up when I get calls from numbers I don’t know. I always look them up on this site first. Given there’s about 200 searches for this one and counting, I reckon it’s a mobile number I’m better off ignoring.

Loads of these numbers on here are just spam, you can tell by how many times they’ve been looked up. Best thing is don’t pick up, and no point blocking them ‘cos they just ring from some other fake number. If we all ignored calls from strangers, they’d probably give up thinking the line’s dead.

This person said we’d talked before and they were doing some sort of customer survey. I didn’t even get to ask what it was about because I cut them off right away!

Got a call from someone claiming to work with a firm that fixes council properties. They asked if I'd reported any unfinished repairs and mentioned I'd get some sort of compensation for the trouble. Once I told them it wasn’t a council house, they just cut the call.

Just got a call from 07482 874784 claiming to be my energy company. They said something about my landline not working so they're calling from a mobile to discuss my energy bill. Total con, they don't even supply my energy! Honestly, it’s a blatant scam. Can't believe anyone would actually fall for this rubbish. Watch out for 07482 874784 - it's definitely a dodgy cold call.
