This bloke named Chris claiming to be from Openreach rang me up saying my IP had been compromised and that they could fix it if I let them. I asked him "do you honestly think I'm daft enough to fall for that?" and the guy, with an Indian accent, actually said I was. When I said I work with computers (which I don’t really, I mostly just use one for gaming) and told him I could trace his number and IP, he hung up sharpish.

From what others have said, this number seems legit serious. I blocked it but it called me again. Then another call came from an 01206 number, thought it was ok cause that’s my area code, but nope, it was a scam from 01206808421. Feels like I’m bein followed or something. I’m a 58 year old woman with health issues and there’s been news about hospitals leaking patient info lately. Maybe that’s what's going on, and honestly, it’s really worrying me.

I received a call from a chap last Thursday claiming he was following up on an online form I supposedly filled in, which is quite baffling as I haven't submitted anything of the sort. I'm covered by Sun Life, and the number he rang from is a landline linked to the British Telecom preference service, meaning my details shouldn't have been shared at all. I'm meticulous about not providing my landline information for anything. Since that initial call, he’s been relentless, ringing me repeatedly from both a landline and a mobile. I made it clear that I had no interest, but he shouted at me, prompting me to hang up-only for him to persist with the calls. He introduced himself as Daniel. Any advice on how to make him stop would be greatly appreciated!

Then when I blocked that number, they switched to another landline with Basingstoke code and called 3 more times, and a third number twice. I've blocked every one of them now. I think this so-called funeral life insurance is just a con. It sounded proper dodgy to me right from the start. Definitely wouldn't trust it as it just seems like a sneaky rip-off. Avoid it if you can!
