Somebody phoned me about a supposed refund for an appliance, but the guy’s accent was really hard to catch, and there was loads of noise in the background, making it tricky to understand him properly. I kept asking what the refund of £149 was for, but he just kept going on. Eventually I said no thanks, but then he was like, "You don’t want the refund?" So I told him fine, just send it. Then he suddenly asked for my sort code! I told him there’s no way I’m sharing that info over the phone, and he just hung up. He was quite pushy, to say the least.
