I got a text message from these lot claiming to be the DWP. They said it was your last chance to get a £300 winter fuel payment and that you have to apply right now, today only! There was also a link attached to fill in the form.

I answered but the caller just dropped the line straight away, don’t know who it was. Have blocked the number now.

Sounds like a total con to me - they said they were from HMRC and that I was facing legal trouble. Definitely didn’t sound legit!
