The person on the phone had an Asian accent and said he was with O2. He mentioned the connection was poor and asked me a few questions, but I didn’t want to reply. After saying the line was bad again, he said he’d ring me back, but never did. I reckon he was trying to fish for info to scam me.

On 7th March 2023, I got a ring from this number. A lady with a sort of English accent told me she was from the Contract Debt centre, warning me about my Timeshare in the US being behind on maintenance payments. She even gave me an EU reference number to make it sound legit. Then she asked if I wanted to chat with one of their 'legal experts' for free. I said yes, book me in. She promised to call back but never did. Honestly, it felt pretty dodgy. Luckily, this site and its community helped me confirm it was all a scam. So beware! Number was 07480722970.

On 27 June 2023, around 4pm, I got a call from 07480722970 claiming to be the "Contract Release Centre". They said there was a European Payment Order out against me for overdue Time Share Maintenance bills. Thing is, I don’t own any timeshare whatsoever. They gave me a "Head Office" number 01256 594 063, which looks like Basingstoke but actually belongs to a landline run by DIDWW Ireland Limited. There are already alerts saying that company might not be on the level.

Got a call from a woman who was super pushy, threatening that bailiffs would come round in 30 days to collect overdue maintenance fees. I told her I was fine with them coming but nothing’s going to happen until I get official documents to show my lawyer. She claimed my husband had received the EOP over the phone earlier that day, which really upset him. Since when do European Courts have power here in the UK? This whole thing feels like a nasty scam to me. I’ve blocked the number now. Honestly, if you get a call like this, just hang up straight away.

Got a call from someone saying he was David Miller, told me I'd missed payments on a timeshare and Hilton Resorts were gonna take me to court through some EU order. Problem is, I don't even own a timeshare! Pretty obvious scam if you ask me. If you do have a timeshare, best not to get involved with this bloke - just hang up straight away.

I got a call from someone asking for me. When I asked who was on the line, he said something like "Bob Bramwells" but wouldn't say which firm he was with or what it was about. Then out of nowhere, he said "This is definitely the wrong number" and just ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam.

A lady rang me claiming she was from some sort of ‘fraud firm’ but didn’t say which one. She said she was working remotely, her WiFi wasn’t working so she had to use her own phone. The call was about a timeshare that we stopped being involved with over a decade ago! She seemed quite believable at first. However, as soon as we asked some tricky questions, the call just cut off.

They rang me twice, saying they were from the Consumer Protection Bureau and claimed I was listed because of some timeshare scam issues. I told them straight away it sounded like a scam and ended the call, even though they insisted it wasn’t. I looked them up and found a UK firm with ‘Consumer Protection Bureau’ in its name on Companies House, but they've got overdue accounts, which is pretty suspicious. It seems like they’re trying to mimic the US Consumer Protection Bureau, but this isn’t any official UK government body. Feels really dodgy and risky to me.
