+44 7883 273460 - Captain Eric Leonidas. Thankfully, I only talked to him for a bit, like three days. He claimed he’s living in Adam now. It’s exactly like what the woman said on 03/05. On the third day I looked up his name and his ‘company’ Leonidas, then came across this website. Honestly, I’m really relieved I found this info. I blocked him straight away.

I got a call off +447868740198 from someone calling himself Captain Theo Luca. He claimed he was caught in a storm and in trouble, saying I should get in touch with the engineering firm since he couldn’t get a signal. Honestly, I was left baffled. Weirdly enough, this number popped up through Tinder.

+44 7868 816729 Just like others, this bloke called Eric Leonidas, says he’s from Greece. His tale was a right old tearjerker, claiming he’s stuck on a boat out at sea with a busted shaft. He wanted me to email some company for him, which I did. Then he tried to get me to log into his account and asked me to make a transfer since he supposedly couldn’t. Pretty sure it was a scam, but luckily I didn’t go through with it and blocked him straight away. Watch out for this one!

The guy who called from +44 7405 628122 told me his name was Dave Malik on Tinder. He claimed he was a captain and kept going on about some broken turbine yesterday too. He even sent me details to transfer money to some company called Marine Vessel Repair Gas Turbine Plant Group, but obviously I wasn’t buying any of it.

Got a call from +44 7475 906790, some guy calling himself Captain, says he's from Malta. Turns out he’s living in Frankfurt, Germany. He told me a sad tale about his parents passing away and how two ex-girlfriends left him heartbroken. Started chatting after matching on Tinder, then he asked for my number. Quite a typical story, really.

So this guy messaged me from Tinder using the WhatsApp number +44 7448 863622. He calls himself Captain James and says he's originally from Malta but lives in Antwerp now. He asked me if I could send some money through his bank account. He mentioned we already booked a place for our first date. He says he inherited a business from his late dad, and that his mum’s in London suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Just got a call from a new number +44 7475 906790. The guy called himself Luca Nicolas, says he's from Malta but currently lives in Luxembourg. We actually matched on Tinder. He claimed his turbine had broken and asked me to email [email protected]. Luckily, before sending any money, I found this site and figured something was off. When I confronted him, he still tried to convince me to call my bank coz the transfer “wasn't going through”. Total scam alert!

Back in July 2019, I ran into a pretty similar scam. I matched with a bloke called Pete Anderson on Tinder, who claimed he was a ship captain. After a few days chatting, he said his turbine broke down and that he needed help. Since he couldn’t get in touch properly, he asked us to reach out to a company on his behalf.
