Received a rather dodgy call claiming to be from a citizens advice service regarding some unsecured debts. The individual was exceedingly aggressive and quite impolite. I've now placed them on my block list!

Got some texts saying they're from RBS asking me to check on some recent purchases. Definitely sounds iffy!

Got a call from someone claiming to be the Citizen's Advice Office, saying they wanted to discuss my unsecured debts. I asked how they got my number and why they were contacting me, and they insisted they had my info and were from the Citizen's Advice Office. I told them I'd never come across the Citizen's Advice Office before, and then they just ended the call.

Got a call on my mobile from some guy going on and on about Citizens Advice. I wasn’t sure who it was, so I quickly looked up the number online. After seeing what it was about, I just set the phone down and let him talk himself out until he finally gave up and ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from the Citizens Advice Bureau, saying it was about my unsecured debts. I asked him which office he was from, and he said Manchester. Then I asked how he got my info since I’ve never been to the Manchester branch (actually, it’s been ages since I went to any CAB at all). He said it was from Equifax. I told him his info was wrong and asked him to take me off their call list, and then he just hung up. Felt really sketchy!

Got a call where the person tried to say my name but totally got it wrong! He said something about a credit agency and some unsecured debts. I told him I didn’t know what he meant, so he went through his little sales spiel again, and I just told him I wasn’t interested. Then he just ended the call.

Got another call today trying to sell me something about unsecured debts. Same old pitch, really annoying!

Got a call today from someone saying they were from the citizens advice bureau, telling me I was drowning in unsecured debt. They asked for details about how much I owed and how much I pay each month. I told them flat out I’m not talking about money stuff on the phone and asked them to send something in writing instead. Then some “supervisor” came on. The people on the line had Indian accents and it felt sketchy all the way. Plus, the number was a mobile - does CAB ever ring from a mobile? Yeah, didn’t think so. ;)

The caller used my first name and claimed to be from Citizens Advice. They told me I had unsecured debts like credit cards. When I mentioned that I always clear my balance totally each month, they said I wouldn’t be eligible for their programme. I was really cautious about sharing any personal info.
