About two weeks ago, someone mentioned a similar thing and I just got the same call. This time, the person said their name was Wendy instead of Margaret, but it was the usual story - offering the full price without even seeing the car. I almost fell for it, so I’m glad I looked up this site before doing anything.

Somebody pretending to buy my van at the full price I listed but then asking me to cover the cost of a report first - I reckon it’s a scam to nick my card details. The person, who said she was Margaret, seemed bent on buying my LWB van. There were odd mistakes in her punctuation and spelling which made me think straight away she wasn't from the UK. As soon as I gave more detailed replies, it became clear this "Margaret" isn’t a local at all!
