Some bloke from India rang me on 07480050604 saying he had £4000 for me from an old accident claim I supposedly made. I told him I never made any claim and nicely said no thanks. He got really annoyed, like I was daft for refusing the cash he claimed he had ready to send me. "Don’t you want your money?" he kept asking, sounding shocked. I told him I thought it was a scam, then he just said "Good day" and cut me off straight away.

Got a friendly bloke from India on the line saying he wanted to give me compensation from my insurance for a crash I never had. I wasn't convinced it was legit, so I asked for his address. He said Manchester, South West London, N41 2BB. I politely thanked him, told him I’d better not take up any more of his time, and hung up. Bit cheeky of me, I suppose!

Just received a call from this number. The bloke claimed he was trying to fix a 'mix-up' by saying he’d accidentally put money in my account that was meant for another person. It’s a scam designed to rob you, so dont let them trick you into giving your name or card info. He said he knew all about me, but when I asked, he didn’t even know my last name. Best not to share anything with these lot at all.

Got a call from a woman with a Caribbean accent claiming someone had an accident with me in the past three years and hadn’t got their payout. Ended the call straightaway, told her not to ring me again and blocked her number. She did say my first name a few times but I just ignored it. Definite scam, seems like they’re just trying to get info. Watch out!

A guy with an Asian accent called saying he was from accident investigation services. He asked if I remembered an accident from 4 years ago. I told him I'd already won a compensation claim for that. I then told him to check his info because I never had an accident. Before I could explain more, he just cut the call.

Got a call sayin I was gonna get some payout for a car accident claim. They knew my name but had no clue where I lived.

Some guy with an Indian accent called me saying I had won a big claim and I shouldn’t refuse it. When I said it sounded dodgy and I wasn’t interested, he suddenly claimed he knew where I lived. I asked him to guess my address and he mentioned a postcode that was close by. I told him to delete my number and that I’d be reporting him, then he just hung up.

Just got a call sayin I’d been in a car crash, I told them to take me off their list but the bloke kept on talkin and then asked me for my postcode which I have no clue how they knew. Then he just quickly ended the call before I could say more.

Got a call from a man with a funny accent about accident compensation claims. I told him I hadn’t been in any accident, but he just kept pushing saying, “Wouldn’t you want to get 4 or 5 grand, madam?” I told him over and over to remove me from their list. Less than 5 minutes later, he rang again. Blocked him straight away.

Got a call from some bloke named Gabriel on a claims helpline about a car crash I supposedly was in. He didn’t know a thing about me and when I kidded about how I’d get my "compensation," he handed me over to his senior guy, “Benjamin,” who started calling me “mate.” Totally feels like a con. Really feel bad for anyone gullible enough to fall for it.

The SRA has been made aware that someone has received an email pretending to be from Easthams Solicitors Limited about personal injury claims. The message they saw seems to come from “Julia Rutter Chartered Legal Executive Easthams Solicitors Limited.” But the email actually originated from “[email protected][###]”. The message also includes a mobile number “07480050604”.
