Got a call from Austin at Reliable Repairs offering me 40% off insurance for my white goods - way cheaper than the £80 I paid two years ago on a couple year contract. They asked if they could start a direct debit. This might be legit, but I’ve never signed anything with them, and my bank showed no payments taken. A little while back, they tried sneaking in a direct debit through Allpay Ltd without telling me. Austin kept saying I agreed over the phone, but I cancelled it before any money left my account. Made sure to block it again this time before it went through.
