Today got a message saying it was from HSBC about a payment try on a new gadget, with a link included. Just a heads up, if you get something similar, don’t click anything, it’s most likely a con. Best thing to do is to just bin it right away.

Somebody called saying they were from the “National Debt Helpline.” When I called them out on it, they actually admitted they were trying to scam me.

What a joke! I said I’m with the police (which I am) and that I’d be reporting the number. Suddenly his attitude shifted quite a bit! No way would National Debt Help ring you from a mobile phone, makes no sense. Just block it and report it, sorted.
