So I got a call and answered it. The recorded voice said it was from HMRC and that I was about to face court action. It told me to press 1 to speak to someone. I pressed 1 and, surprisingly, someone answered right away. Honestly, when you try calling HMRC yourself, it usually takes ages to get through. I asked what they wanted and said he just said he was the one who called me. Then he hung up. Definitely felt like a scam, no doubt about it.
