Someone called pretending to be from Microsoft and asked if I was the main user of my PC. They then wanted to know when I last used it, claiming my computer had been sending them error messages recently, even when I wasn’t using it. They told me hackers were using my IP to send porn and launder money online. They asked if I had internet on my machine and I said no, which confused them. When I said no again, they just hung up. Totally a scam - none of that was true. I was online just yesterday and I’m pretty sure they were trying to get remote access to my computer.
