So, I got a call with a robotic voice saying it was from HMRC, warning me about legal trouble and telling me to press 1 to talk to an agent. When I did, the person on the line had a definitely fake-sounding British accent and straight away asked me for my name. I asked why they didn’t already have it, and then the call just dropped. Heads up - if you get anything like this, don’t give out your details. It’s almost certainly a scam.
