Got a call saying HMRC was about to take action against me. Thought it was dodgy straight away but kept listening to see what would happen. They played some posh piano tunes to sound like an official government line. Pressed option 1 to hold on. Then a woman said, “Callow speaking, what can I do for you?” I asked for her full name and, would you believe it, the line just cut off. Not surprised at all.
