Just got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying I had some outstanding debt. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were Carphone Warehouse, pushing me to buy a new phone. I kept telling them I wasn’t interested but they just talked right over me, insisting I listen. They wouldn’t accept a simple no and kept trying to get me to say “yes.” Turns out, that’s a dodgy trick - if you say yes it can be recorded and might be used later to mess with your accounts. Proper scam, so watch out!
