I got a call saying my place was flagged for having old loft insulation that might be risky. They asked what type I had, and when I told them it’s a fairly new build so shouldn’t be out of date, the call just got cut off. No clue what the point of that scam was but watch out for this number, seems dodgy.

These calls are just trouble, they stopped using their regular numbers when we stopped picking up and now they’re ringing from what looks like local mobile numbers. Watch out! Remember, no legit organisation will ever ask you for your bank verification code or any single-use passwords. I tried ringing them back without showing my number and it ended up being some kind of “echo test” - never came across that before. Definitely block and report these guys!

Got a dodgy message from this number saying it’s Evri, claiming I missed a parcel or something. Definitely a scam.

Some bloke rang me saying he was updating some government records. He actually knew my name, but kept pestering me about who my life insurance provider was. I told him I've got it sorted already. Still, he kept asking, like at least half a dozen times, trying to get the insurer's name to 'update the UK gov database'. I just kept refusing and in the end, after about three mins of me wasting his time, he finally put the phone down.

I got a robocall with an American accent telling me HMRC sent a letter back and now they want to fine me, press 1 for help or whatever. The call just cut off straight away. I rang the number back, and this woman with an accent picked up, with a guy talking behind her. When I asked who they were, some bloke shouted "you called me b***h!" Proper scammers, so I blocked the number and dumped it.

Got three calls all from different numbers today, one of them was this one. Some Indian guy claimed to be with the British Medical Association. Weirdly, he even knew my daughter's name.

A bloke rang me claiming his name was Stuart Bowden, saying he was ringing from Citizens Advice about some unsecured debts. I told him I didn’t trust that he was really from Citizens Advice and that I’d already dealt with my debts through StepChange. Then he went on saying Citizens Advice don’t really help and mentioned something about a government scheme. I asked again if I could speak to his manager, but just as I did, he hung up on me.

Been getting loads of calls from different numbers like this one, and it’s always the same thing - just a recorded voice saying “Goodbye!” It’s nonstop, starting from early morning around 7am right through till way after 11pm, sometimes even several times a day. On 19/7/23 around 4:10pm, I got a call from someone pretending to be the General Medical Council asking if I’d had all my covid vaccines. I could tell straight away it was dodgy, so I played along and kept them on the line to stop them scamming others. After a bit, the guy with an Indian accent must have got bored and just hung up 😂😂😂
