Got a call claiming to be from "BT Openreach" about "your IT security" - yeah right. Usually, I just tell them straight up "You’re not," hang up, and block the number, like I did this time. Sometimes, when they ring an IT bod like me, I like to mess about a bit, wasting their time. If you pick up and it goes quiet before anyone speaks, that’s usually a sign. They’re now blocked from reaching any of my numbers through my PBX system.
