Got a call on my home phone from a bloke named James who knew my full name and said he was from BT Openreach. He said there was an issue with my internet, something about it switching to a public network and needing an update to be secure again. I told him I don’t even use BT for my internet, but he insisted they handle all landlines. When I asked who my provider actually was, he said EE, which isn't true. I told him that was wrong and ended the call. Feels like a dodgy scam to me.
