Today, I got a phone call from this number telling me I supposedly owe £5,000 to HMRC. The person claimed to be officer Rachel and said I was involved in a serious offence. She asked about the amount of money in my bank account. I explained I’ve been out of work for about 6 years and only started part-time last March because of a heart condition. When I told her I only have around £2,000, she just hung up. Watch out everyone, this smells like a scam. The caller sounded Indian to me.
