Got a call from some robotic voice claiming to be HMRC, saying they'd sent me a letter to fill out and send back. They warned me about legal consequences if I didn’t comply and told me to press 1 to speak to an officer - I just ended the call there. I’m retired and have been on pension credit for a decade. If it really was HMRC, they’d already know that. It’s hard to believe they’d use a recorded voice and start handing out info without confirming who they were talking to. Plus, they never used my name once.
