I got a phone call that was actually a recorded message from a woman speaking with a strong American accent. She claimed to be from HMRC and accused me of committing tax fraud. It felt super dodgy.

On 7th Nov 23 at about 1.31pm, I got a call on my mobile. There was a woman speaking with an American accent saying something about HMRC sending me a threatening letter about tax. She told me to press 1 if I wanted more information. I just ended the call straight away because I know HMRC never contacts people by phone.
