The call was really poor quality, with loads of background noise and a weird accent that sounded kinda American, making it hard to catch most of what they said. But I did hear ‘HMRC’ and something about ‘please ring our office’ and ‘urgent tax underpayment’. Pretty clear scam from the start, even more blatant than the usual Nigerian Prince emails promising me millions if I keep quiet haha. Could’ve been harmful if it weren’t so ridiculously obvious, but since there’s no “too obvious” choice, I guess “dangerous” will do.
