Someone reached out on Gumtree asking me to pay the courier in advance for a sofa. I said no way and after that, they just vanished and never contacted me again.

Saw a sofa listed on Gumtree, and the "buyer" said they'd cover the courier costs by sending me money through PayPal first. They asked me to pay the delivery from my side, then said they'd reimburse me. They even sent an invoice with a link to make the payment, but I never got any cash in my account. Definitely don’t click on that link!
