I had a rather peculiar phone call earlier. An individual with an Asian accent introduced himself as "Sam from BT Technical Support." He was rather persistent in asking me to verify my home address along with my direct debit information. The thing is, BT isn’t even my service provider! It definitely had the hallmarks of a phishing scam if you ask me!

I got a call from someone named Sam, sounded like he had an Indian accent and said he was from BT. He asked me to verify my address and direct debit info. I just went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone with a really thick Asian accent saying he was from BT tech support about my internet. He wanted me to give out personal details, but I told him my broadband isn’t even with BT. Definitely felt like a scam.
