Received a cheery message saying "Good morning, Mum x," and I couldn't help but chuckle since none of my kids sent it! Later on, I got another text asking me to save their number, complete with a heart emoji. I took to WhatsApp and started probing to uncover the mystery behind the message. However, they responded in a rather suspicious manner, which led me to block them. Quite the odd situation, really!

I received a dodgy call earlier, claiming that my daughter had somehow broken her phone. They said she couldn't make any calls and that I could only listen to her voice messages and text her. I was quite tied up at the moment, so I opted to reply via text instead. Shortly after, the number requested that I transfer £3,300, stating that the online banking feature on her phone was playing up. I knew instantly this wasn’t my daughter reaching out, as she’d never dream of asking me for money like that, especially not over a text message.

Got a text saying ‘Good evening mum x’ but none of my kids would send that, so I’m pretty sure it was some kind of scam.

I sent a message saying morning, Mum, and to update my new digits. This isn’t from any of my offspring.

Monday at 18:33 - Evening, dear! To which I responded: Earlier today at 15:42, I messaged back, "Be sure to save my new digits! ❤️" Honestly, I’m not anyone’s mum!
