BEWARE OF SCAMS! Make sure to block suspicious numbers and send scam texts to 7726 (just a reporting service, not the police). I’d also recommend dropping an email to your MP, asking why it's so hard to report scams directly through the police’s 'action fraud' system these days. Plus, why hasn’t the phone industry rolled out Caller ID Authentication technology yet? It would really help cut down on these scam calls. If you get scam emails or texts, take screenshots and email them over to the police at '[email protected]' so they can investigate properly. Stay safe out there!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, but it was clear they were just scammers. I played along and kept them talking as long as possible just to waste their time a bit.

This number, 07477199280, rang me at 11:30 on 3rd May 2023. I usually just block calls from numbers I don’t know, and if you don’t pick up, they usually stop calling you for a bit, which is what happened here, thankfully.

This 7448758288 number rang me up and when I picked, the person on the other end claimed they were with Amazon. There was a lot of background noise and the connection was really bad, which made me pretty sure it was some kind of scam. So, I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from 07476188801 and it was a woman who spoke really bad English. She wouldn’t say what company she was from and kept saying they had my permission to call, which isn’t true at all. I told her to take my number off their list right away or I’d report them and let everyone know. Just a heads up for anyone else - I’m based in Oxfordshire.

The moment I picked up and said hello, they just cut the call straight away. Definitely seemed a bit suspicious to me.

This number has rung me 3 times just this week, but every time I check, there's no message on the voicemail. Quite odd really.

Just had a couple of dodgy calls back to back. First was from 03301273108 and then 07472158288 rang me straight after. Both showed up on my phone as likely spam which was a bit suspicious.

I had no idea who it was so I just let the call go to voicemail and blocked the number after.

I ignored a call from 07472 158288 since it came during a bunch of calls I was getting and when I checked it out here, it showed up as scam or risky. I see that 14 others have also looked up this number today. I’m not sure if it’s some kind of nuisance or threat, but I’m linking it with a few other numbers that popped up like 07446 465706, 01704 524940 and 0330 127 3108 (that last one was only marked neutral when I looked it up around midday on 21/07/2020).
