someone called claiming they were from the hmrc and told me my national insurance number was at risk of being cancelled because it was being used without my permission or something like that

Got a call from a bloke, maybe about 25 to 35, who started threatening me about some high court writ. He went on about coming into my house to take stuff worth £4,586. Wouldn’t tell me who supposedly issued the writ or what the unpaid goods were. Felt like a total scam to me. I’m not the kind to get frazzled easily, but this actually shook me up. This kind of scam’s proper dangerous, especially for older or vulnerable folks who might get seriously taken in by it.

Got a call from the number here, some guy threatening me saying the high court wants more than £4,000. He said bailiffs are going to show up to take the money.

got a call from a guy saying he needed to verify id be home at a specific time or a writ from the high court would be issued. he warned that if we couldnt pay, they’d come and seize stuff worth the amount owed. then he tried to sweeten the deal by saying you could pay now and the total might get lowered, and that there’s 28 days to dispute once papers arrive. defo a scam, stay clear!

Got a call from some bloke saying I supposedly owed £4000 due to a high court writ. He kept pushing to get my info and cash from me. When I asked questions, he got really pushy and kept saying the same stuff over and over. I cut the call before things escalated. Don't get caught up in this trick.

Got a call today, sometime in the late afternoon, between 4 and 5pm, saying there’s a high court writ against me. The caller already had my name, which freaked me out a bit. Didn’t hang around to chat much longer though. Funny thing is, I’ve dealt with a bailiff scam attempt before, so it felt pretty familiar.
