Right, so this bloke calls himself David and his English isn’t always the best. Sometimes it feels like different people are answering, with loads of cheesy compliments thrown in. He’ll ask you for pictures then send over pics of some obvious model. Honestly, he’s pretty childish. Ladies, watch out. After a few weeks, he’ll probably start asking for cash to get off some rig in Saudi or something. It’s all fake - the photos and the guy himself. Just a proper sad scammer. Make sure you report him to whichever dating site you're using.

Somebody named David got in touch through a dating site, said he was from Berkhamsted and studied in Paris. Claimed to work on an offshore rig in Saudi Arabia. Mentioned his wife was unable to have children, and we hit it off quickly, chatting mostly late at night. He asked for some risque pictures, then started asking for cash to cover bills and get back to the mainland cos supposedly he couldn’t get to his bank account. I've seen this kind of scam a few times now, so I'm more cautious. If you run into him, make sure to notify the site.

Met this guy on Elite Dating around 10/10/20, goes by David, claims he's working on the Saudi oil rigs. He told me he’s from Northampton, lost his wife five years ago, lived in France, and studied in Canada. Exactly like some other stories I've heard. I’m really glad I looked up his number because it’s worrying that Elite lets the same phone number be used over and over but with different names. Also, at times his English sounded off, like maybe someone else was replying. Just a heads up - definitely stay cautious.

this guy keeps telling me his name is john kennedy and sends pics of some guy who looks like a model. he hasn’t asked me for cash yet, but i’m planning to block his number soon. i actually came across "him" on elite too.

I met this bloke called David on a dating site, says he’s working on oil rigs out in Saudi. He went on about how much he liked me way too fast, talking love and feelings straight away. Just thought I’d warn anyone else about him.

this number belongs to some bloke ive come across on a dating site called elite singles, using the name kelvin this time. he says hes working on oil rigs in saudi. ive seen this one all before: pretends to be interested for ages then starts asking for cash. dont fall for it. if youve had similar experiences, tell your tale - might stop others getting scammed.
