Got a dodgy message from this number on the 6th of March at 16:26. It said it was from HSBC and claimed I’d approved a payment of £240 to someone called Mr C Jones. If it wasn’t me, they wanted me to ‘cancel’ it by clicking a link - not sharing that link here for obvious reasons. Honestly, no way I would’ve clicked it. It’s odd though, isn’t it? If I hadn’t made the payment, why would I need to cancel it? Makes no sense! Plus, I don’t even have an account with HSBC, so it’s clearly a phishing attempt.
