I ended up clicking on a dodgy ad, and now my phone keeps ringing loads from various numbers. I don’t pick up most of them. This was one of those calls, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it too.

Got a call from this number, and it was an automated voice saying I had an overdue payment of £900 on my VISA card. It told me to press 1 straight away to stop the payment. Definitely sounds like a scam, so I wouldn’t press any buttons if I were you!

I had a missed call from this number and decided to ring back. When I did, a message came on warning that scammers have been using this number to ring people for marketing scams. It said if you want to reach the real person or business, it’s best to text them first. So, I marked the number as both annoying spam and safe. Apparently, when it’s not being used by fraudsters, it belongs to a proper kitchenware shop. Shame that these scammers are ruining the reputation of honest, local British businesses like this one.

I got a call earlier claiming to be from O2, saying I could get 30% off my bill. They said they'd send a one-time code and only asked if I was the person who pays the bill. If it was truly O2, they would've asked some security questions and said my name. They did actually send me a code but I ended the call straight away. After seeing some bad reviews about this number, I'm going to block it now.

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from BT, saying they'd heard I was having issues with my internet. I told him I actually don't have internet, and then he just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were Vodafone, trying to sell me a free iPhone upgrade. The guy had a really thick Indian accent and it was pretty tough to make out what he was saying. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

Got a recorded call about my VISA - they claimed £700 had been withdrawn from my account or something like that. Totally a scam, just hang up and let the authorities know.

Got a call a minute ago claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, saying they've got an awesome offer on an iPhone. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.
