Got a call supposedly from Amazon, saying someone tried purchasing an iPhone using my account. They asked me for the OTP, which came from a number I thought was legit because it looked like Amazon's usual one, so I gave it to them. Then they told me to install an app called ConnectWise. I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing my screen, and they warned me I'd still get billed for the phone. I told them I’d ring Amazon directly to check. That’s when the caller got really rude. Turns out, Amazon says they never call customers like that.
