I got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank, telling me there was a £100 transaction from Edinburgh to London and to press 2 to talk to an advisor. I just hung up immediately and then called my bank myself. Nothing was wrong with my account. Don’t fall for these scammers and just ignore calls like this!

Got a call from someone claiming to be my bank. They told me £100 had been charged on my card for train tickets from London to Edinburgh. Total nonsense. My account balance was perfectly fine, no such transaction at all. They said they’d connect me to an advisor, but I just ended the call, blocked the number, and reported it. Proper scam alert, watch out everyone!
