I got a call from this number and the moment I picked up, some automated message started saying it was HMRC. It claimed they’d sent me a letter and threatened legal action if I didn’t respond. Then it said to press 1 to talk to an officer. I was suspicious right away so I didn’t press anything. After a few seconds, the recorded voice just said "goodbye" in a weird way. I’ve never got any letter from HMRC about this. So yeah, don’t answer or when you do, don’t freak out or press any buttons. It’s definitely a scam!
