Got a call from this number, so I decided to message them. They said I was the one who called them, which is odd because I didn’t even recognise the number! Ended up blocking it straight away and reported it for breaching GDPR rules!

This number rang me regarding a PPI claim, saying I could get £1800, then suddenly bumped it up to £2400. They mentioned that to receive the full claim, I’d have to pay £8 for some kind of life insurance. It all sounded dodgy to me, especially when they said they’d transfer me to the insurance firm but told me not to mention PPI if they asked. When I told them I didn’t have my bank info handy, they said they’d call back. And sure enough, they called me back 22 times using different mobile numbers. Proper suspicion.

But then I realised something was off - I’d given my landline, not my mobile, on the claim. That made me suspicious, so I ended the call straight away. I’m 70 years old and it really worried me, hoping I didn’t slip any info that could cause trouble later. These scammers are the worst.

I got a call at 1 in the afternoon on the 25th of April, 2018, someone was asking after my mum who died two years back. Honestly, it was really upsetting for me and the rest of my family.

I just got a ring from this number saying I’m supposed to get a cheque for £4500 this Friday for some PPI thing.
