Whatever it is, don’t ring them back, it’ll probably cost you. Why do businesses still bother using premium rate numbers for telemarketing? Surely there’s another reason besides dodgy stuff? Has anyone actually picked up when these numbers call? No messages or anything, so there’s no way I’m returning the call...4 yearsGot a call from a robotic voice saying I’d been in an accident, which was total rubbish. I didn’t say anything, but it kept firing off a couple more questions before hanging up. Then, just a couple minutes later, my husband’s phone rang with the exact same story. This time the bot even answered his questions, gave out a name, a number and a company. The second I mentioned calling the police, they cut the line.
