Got a call from this spammer saying they'd send a parking fine from the council, but councils arent what they used to be. By law, councils are actually private companies according to the Local Government Act 1972 Section 2(3). They’re registered with Companies House or DUNS numbers, so any fines they try to enforce gotta be backed by proper legal contracts under the Companies Act 2006, Section 44. Just seems like a dodgy call to me.
