They claimed it was regarding my debts (not true), something about credit cards and a car loan (still no), supposedly from the Financial Conduct Authority here in the UK. When I pretended to ask for details about the debts, they just ended the call. It actually sounded quite convincing, no typical dodgy accent and spoke quite politely. Definitely fishy, just trying their luck with a scam.

Got a call today from someone claiming to be Erick, said he was from Citizens Advice about some unpaid bills - total nonsense. I’m sure I don’t owe anything and I doubt Citizens Advice would ring me like this, sounds more like bailiffs or a scam. I’ve blocked the number now. From what I’ve read before, this person apparently juggles several identities like Amazon, a credit check firm, money UK, and even shows up as a silent caller. Honestly, they shouldn’t be allowed to use a phone. Whoever they really are, they’re blocked.

They asked how much I owed, and I said a million quid (just to mess about because I knew it was a scam). They were like, “A million? Are you having a laugh?” Then they started swearing at me. I told them to take that nonsense to their mum and dad and then hung up. Proper rude, sketchy, and absolute scammers!!

These lot called me and threatened to rape my 12 year old daughter and my mum. Then they said they’d come and mess me up - I’m disabled, in a wheelchair and blind. My husband grabbed the phone and told them we can trace their number, and they just got more aggressive, threatening to come and kill us in our sleep and make my kids watch. Got a call from some bloke called "John" saying he was from Credit Fix in Glasgow. He reckoned I asked for a chat about sorting out my debts through email - which I definitely didn’t. I wasted around ten minutes listening to his spiel before losing it and telling him to jog on. Then I rang up Credit Fix myself, and they told me they never do cold calls, only get in touch if you email them first. Bit fishy if you ask me.

The person on the phone already knew my name and asked me to verify it. He said he was Sam from the Citizen's Advice Bureau and casually asked how my day was going. When I asked why he was calling, he claimed there was some new information about my debts. I told him that was rubbish and was about to hang up. I ended the call straight away. Got a phonecall earlier from someone claiming to be with debt investigations. Asked if I owed any money, I told em no, then they just cut me off. Bit of a strange call if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from some Debt Investigation Department. He told me I owed money, so I asked him to explain what debts exactly. Then, he just hung up on me.
