I got a call from a number starting with 074, so I decided to block all numbers beginning with 074 because I don’t recognise anyone with those digits. If you’ve got a call blocking app, you might want to add 074 to the list of blocked area codes. Loads of these calls turn out to be scams pretending to be from HMRC, the DWP, banks, Visa, or even Amazon. Also, in my experience, numbers beginning with 003, 004, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 0177, 018, 019, 020, 028, 033, 073, 074, 075, 077, 078, and 079 tend to be scammers calling most of the time. Just be careful!
