Somebody called me pretending to be my mum’s kid, but I’m an only child. This isn’t the first time either - a few weeks back, a different number tried the same thing. When I rang back, they picked up but just stayed silent! Totally weird.

Someone called me pretending they were my kid, which was really odd and a bit creepy. Totally not sure why they’d do that!

Got a message on WhatsApp from this number saying “Hi mum, I've got a new number, can you delete the old one?” then they asked if I could cover two unpaid bills for them and they promised to pay me back. That sounded off straight away - if it was my son, he’d call, not text like that. I rang the number but it just kept ringing without answer. I told my son and he said to block it and report it as a scam.
