On 14/11/2024, I received a message from this number that said something like: "Dad, this is a temporary number. My phone's knackered and the sim isn't working in this spare phone a mate lent me. Tell me when you get this, cheers." Thing is, I'm not a bloke and certainly not anyone's dad. How on earth did they get hold of my number, or did they just dial randomly? Feels a bit like a fishing attempt to me. A while back, I had a similar text from someone claiming "Mum, I've lost my phone" or something like that. Shady if you ask me.
