I got a call from someone saying they were from Citizens Advice Bureau. I mentioned it was already after their usual hours and they were calling from a mobile, which seemed off. I got a call from someone claiming to be with UK DEBT ADVICE, but this isn’t the first. It’s actually the fifth time different companies with the same accent have rung me up. I asked the lady if she could tell me anything about me besides my name, but she couldn’t. She said it was due to some government scheme and that they had my number because they thought I had unsecured debt - which isn’t true at all. Honestly, this happens way too often with various company names all fishing for the same thing.

I picked up and this bloke claimed he was from Citizens Advice. He said I owed money, which I denied, but then he just started calling me a liar and yelling at me over the phone. He even threatened that someone would turn up at my house to sort it out. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number.
