I got a call from a lady with a proper English accent, sounded like it was a recorded voice. She said something about my bank ringing about two payments I didn’t know about, one was supposedly £199 from Amazon and the other from Zoom. Then she told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk about it. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Felt like a total scam to me. She never said which bank it was or gave her name, and they didn’t even bother to use my name.

Just wanna say, I've got BT call protect and I'm registered with TPS, so I really shouldn't be getting these random calls. Pretty sure it was a bank scam. The lady on the phone spoke perfect English, but she never told me her name or the company she represented. She said something like, "This is a security alert from your bank about two transactions, one from Amazon for £199 and another from Zoom. To discuss these, please press 1 to talk to an advisor." I just hung up without replying or pressing any buttons. No way I'm falling for a scam!
