Some lady, who was clearly quite new at the scam game, awkwardly tried to tell me I owed thousands in debt. She said if I sent them a few thousand quid straight away, they’d sort out the rest with the government. When I asked what the debt was for, she just hung up on me.

Do yourself a favour and just ignore the call. Some bloke with an Indian accent was on the line, claiming I owe money on a debt supposedly being paid off monthly, which makes no sense to me as I don’t. I tried to get some clarity by asking what account he was talking about a couple of times, but each time he dodged it and just kept asking if I had any credit or store cards. He seemed proper confused when I told him that if he really knew about my debt, why would he still need to ask about my credit cards? Total nonsense.

Got a really unpleasant bloke on the phone insisting I needed some kind of credit check. I calmly asked him to delete my info from their system, but he got all defensive and started demanding to know why he should do that. I was at work so couldn’t really argue back loudly. After asking a few times, I just gave in and ended the call. Wish I’d noted the company name because I would seriously consider reporting them or even legally pushing to get my info wiped. Everyone knows they’re just some third party anyway.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from the Credit Investigation Department. I told him to remove my number as I’m not into cold calls. He refused and said it wasn’t cold calling at all?! He kept going on about his job. I asked for his manager’s name and he said it was Mark WILLIAMS, and I said I’d report him. Got a call from a bloke claiming he was from some government office about clearing a debt. I told him I don’t owe anything, but he said a loan for £1000 had been approved on my behalf. I got a call from someone saying they were part of a UK financial organisation or something like that. They told me I had a loan that was first turned down but then somehow got accepted by their side. I didn’t waste any time and just ended the call straight away.

Twice today I had calls from two separate numbers, one being 07977512899 and the other 07460363217. It's mad how they manage to know both your number and name. I'm thinking of reporting them to Ofcom.

I got a call from someone saying they were from the 'Citizens Advice Bureau,' telling me I owed money. When I asked them who they were exactly, all I got back was the same line about credit card debts. I told them I didn’t owe anything and then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from some foreign guy saying I owe money or something. The thing is, I always pay my bills on time and I’m still living with my parents. I told him straight up that I don’t have any debts and to stop hassling me. After a bit of arguing, he finally hung up. Proper annoying and totally ridiculous!

I got a call from some Asian bloke who went proper nuts when I said I didn’t get what he was saying. Then out of nowhere, he starts threatening that bailiffs would be knocking on my door in 30 minutes! Honestly, it was so terrifying, especially if it was an elderly person answering - that kind of stuff would seriously scare them stiff. Totally shocking behaviour.

My partner got a call from this number, and the woman on the line, who sounded Asian, claimed she was with the Credit Investigation Department. She already had his name and phone number, which felt super dodgy. When she gave her supposed ID, he just said "That's nice," and then she just ended the call straight away. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

I just blocked this number straight away. It was some Asian bloke trying to say I owe money. When I asked him what he was on about and told him I wasn’t interested and knew my own financial stuff, he started threatening that someone would come to my place to deal with it. I just told him alright, thanks, goodbye and hung up. People could easily fall for this since they have your name and info. Best thing is to avoid answering and just block the number.

Just got a call from some Asian lady sayin she approved a loan for me. I told her I never even applied for anything like that. Then she said she’d go ahead and cancel it, and just ended the call. Bit weird, really.

This number kept ringing my phone three times today, starting as early as 7 in the morning! I ignored it straight away and checked this site first - thank goodness I did. Seriously, avoid picking up if you see this caller ID!

Got a call from some guy with an Asian accent saying I owed money I didn't know about. I just chuckled and ended the call straight away. Looks like a scammer trying to freak you out into making a dumb decision. This has happened to me a couple of times, and it's always nonsense. Best thing is to just block the number and ignore them.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who kept trying to speak to me using my full name. When I asked what the call was about, she claimed it was some government thing regarding a debt. I pressed her on where she got my info from, and she said it came from a creditor. I told her she had no right to be calling me. After that, she got really rude and started being aggressive, telling me the call was recorded. I asked her once more about how she got my details, then she just ended the call.

Got a phone call a moment ago. They said my name right but everything else they gave was completely wrong. It seemed like they wanted me to freak out so I’d follow what they told me. Total scam, definitely a fraud.

I got a call where the person wanted to talk to me by name. Before saying who I was, I asked who was on the line. They told me but as soon as I said my name, the guy started being really nasty and told me to f##k off! Seriously, just ignore this number if it rings you!

Got a call from this really pushy Asian guy, proper full on. If I was any kind of important or something, that call would’ve totally done my head in. Number got blocked without a second thought.

Got four calls before midday, didn't pick up though. I just made a late payment for next month, not sure if it's connected but figured I'd mention it. Might just be a weird coincidence but who knows?
