I got a call from a woman speaking with a South Asian accent claiming she was from Microsoft. She told me scammers were using my computer non-stop and that I needed to enter a long code she read out to stop it. She said if I didn’t, Microsoft would have to disconnect my computer! She kept pushing that it was urgent and would definitely be cut off if I didn’t comply. Obviously, I didn’t fall for it. She seemed to think my name was someone who hasn’t lived here for decades, if ever. Definitely a dodgy scam trying to get control of my PC.
