Got a call from someone saying they were from Council Tax, wanting me to set up a direct debit for a supposedly overdue payment. Thing is, I've always kept up with my payments, and I've had a direct debit set for over two years. So I asked why they needed my bank details again. Right after I questioned them, they just ended the call. Checked with the actual council tax office and turns out it was a scam. Don't get caught out like this!
