Got a robo call claiming I was involved in a tax fraud case and to hit 1 to talk to someone who could help me sort out the fine. It said if I didn’t press 1, they’d issue a warrant for my arrest right away. I just ended the call and refused to press anything. HMRC definitely doesn’t deal with matters like this over the phone, and they’ve warned about these scams on their site, saying to just hang up straight away.
