I guess it was one of those dodgy calls trying to sell me Windows stuff again.

I always end calls straight away when it’s from overseas call centres. They called me back from 1471, told me the number, and then said “please hang up.” If BT are aware that this is a scam, why haven’t they blocked it? I’ve had my call preferences set up for over eight years now, but BT won’t enforce it, and Ofcom can’t either. So who’s meant to keep these scammers in check?

I kept hearing this annoying "ding ding, dinggg" sound over and over but nobody ever picked up the phone. It was pretty weird.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft about my Windows software. Pretty clear it was a scam.
